Bertha B. Cook

Bertha B. Cook, age 71, of Adrian, MI, passed away, March 7, 2022, at Regency Hospital in Sylvania, OH. She was born May 1, 1950, in Tecumseh, MI, the daughter of Lazaro & Josefina (Rodriguez) Alaniz. On December 28, 1988, she married Michael Cook in Adrian, MI, he survives.  Bertha self taught herself how to crochet. She loved to share her crocheting work with others. Bertha attended the Madison Church of the Nazarene.  In addition to her husband Michael Cook, she is survived by her siblings, Linda Guzman of Adrian, Lazaro "Larry" Alaniz of Tecumseh, Angel (Beverly) Alaniz of Petersburg, Sylvia (James) Betz of Adrian, Cecilia (Michael) Alvarez of Texas, Susanna (Michael) Vannetter of Tecumseh, Victoria DeLeon of Texas and Eugene Alaniz of Texas; half sister, Elena Davila of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lazaro & Josefina Alaniz and one brother, Rudy Alaniz.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 10, 2022, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI, with Rev.
