Berniece Amy (Harris) Sweet

Berniece Amy Sweet, age 70, of Tecumseh, passed away July 18, 2020. Berniece was born October 13, 1949 in Falmouth, Michigan the daughter of Harley and Marian (Brown) Harris.  She lived many years in Florida before moving back to Michigan 4 years ago to be closer to family and live with her ex husband, Nelson Sweet, who was her caretaker. Berniece is survived by her ex husband, Nelson Sweet of Tecumseh; children, Terry (Teresa) Sweet of Limestone, TN, Cheryl Sweet of Adrian and Mary Sweet of Adrian; grandchildren, Billy (Brittany) Sweet, Matthew Sweet, Therese Sweet, Alex Sweet, Zachary Fisher and Dakota Marks;  great grandchildren, Caiden and Carson Sweet; brothers, Raymond (Judy) Harris and Gary (Robin) Harris; sisters, Ruth (Larry) Hand, Kathryn Harris and Luella Munson; good friend, Helen Ames of Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Leslie, Kenneth, Glenn, Bernerd and Duane Allen in infancy. Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Thursday, July 23, 2020 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Rev. Earl Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridgeway Cemetery, Ridgeway.  Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 P. M. Wednesday, July 22, 2020 and one hour preceding the service on Thursday.  Memorial contributions may be made to Arbor Hospice, Saline, and the Lenawee Humane Society.
