Benjamin "Ben" Alvarado

Benjamin "Ben" Alvarado, age 71, of Adrian, MI, passed away, November 18, 2020, at University of Michigan Hospital.  He was born June 12, 1949, in Houston, Texas, the son of Jesus & Helen (Gonzales) Alvarado.  Ben served his country in the U.S. Army as a helicopter gunman during the Vietnam War, earning the Silver Star and Purple Heart.  He is survived by his wife, Josefina "Josie" Alvarado; his children, Enjoli (Vanni) Pino of Georgia and Ben Alvarado Jr. of Virginia; two stepsons, Rusty Garza and Michael (Dyana) Garza both of Adrian; several grandchildren; his siblings, Irene Elizondo, Marta Alvarado, Manuel (Lourdes) Alvarado, Anita (James) Ward and David (Melba) Alvarado and numerous nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Jesus & Helen Alvarado and brother in law, Paul Elizondo.  Memorial Services with military honors will be held in June of 2021.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
