Barbara Ann Parker

Barbara Ann Parker, age 82, of Adrian, MI, passed away March 29, 2022, at home with her family. She was born December 18, 1939, in McMinnville, Tennessee, the daughter of Robert & Earlene (Cantrell) Woods. She married Charles Parker on September 15, 1955, he survives.  Barbara earned a Masters Degree from Spring Arbor College. She worked at Chelsea Hospital, retiring as Director of Volunteers. Barbara enjoyed playing words with friends, her church family at the Church of Christ in Adrian and all of her animals including her two dogs, Pixie & Rascal.  In addition to her husband Charles Parker, she is survived by her children, Theresa Robene (Brent) Powell and David Bradley (Jodi) Parker; three grandchildren, Brittany J. Powell, Bradley Parker and Matthew Parker; three great grandchildren, Aileigh, Brogan and Larissa; two brothers-in-law, William Parker, and Harley (Barb) Parker; a special angel and niece, Debbie Curtis, who took care of her in her final days; and many other nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by parents, Robert & Earlene Woods; and cousins, Venita Wooden and Paul Neeley.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian, MI. Viewing and Visitation will be on Monday, April 4, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at J.
