Barbara Ann (Fryover) Otterman

Barbara Ann (Fryover) Otterman left this earth on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, under the care of her family and Henry Ford Hospice. Barb was born November 10, 1947, to Herbert "Herb" & Mary Fryover.  She grew up in Portland, Michigan and graduated from Portland High School in 1965. After high school Barb obtained her cosmetology license and later in life operated a daycare in her home. On December 27, 2001, Barb married the love of her life, Dennis (Den) Otterman.  Barb and Den enjoyed going to car shows in their Hot Rod and Corvette, trips to Mackinac Island and long drives all over Michigan.  Barb made an amazing peanut butter cake and loved watching sports; but most of all, she loved her family. Barb is survived by her husband, Dennis; sons: Bruce (Rushelle) Benjamin and Gale Benjamin; granddaughter: Abigale Benjamin; stepdaughter: Alison (Joe) Kelly; step grandsons: Connor Kelly and Quinn Kelly; brothers: Dale (Patty) Fryover and John (Annette) Fryover; sister: Diane (Bob) Millis; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  Barb was preceded in death by her parents and brother Theron Fryover.  Per Barbs wishes, she has been cremated and her ashes will be interned at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing, Michigan. A Celebration of Life will take place on December 23, 2022, at 11:00 am at the First Congregational Church of Portland at 421 E. Bridge St., Portland, Michigan 48875.  A luncheon will immediately follow at the Portland VFW Post 4090, 1324 E. Bridge St., Portland, Michigan 48875.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
