Barbara "Barb" Ann Herrera

Barbara "Barb" Ann Herrera, age 58, of Newberry, Michigan, passed away on March 9th, 2025 in Adrian, Michigan.  Barb was born in Lansing, MI, to Iris Gene Miller and Robert Eugene Miller on January 25th, 1967.  She went to high school at Newberry High School and graduated in 1985.  She went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Arts majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry at Adrian College.  She worked as a Phlebotomist and Medical Lab Tech for Promedica Bixby Hospital for nearly 30 years.  She enjoyed sharing her cooking and bake goods with friends and family. She liked to knit and spend time with her two pugs Iggy and Olly.  Barb is survived by her son, Nicolas A. Herrera of Eden Prairie, MN; daughter, Olivia Herrera (Austin Barnett) of Dundee, MI; sister, Cindy Miller of Lynchburg, TN; sister, Charlene (Marty) Temple of White Lake, MI; sister, Kathlene Miller of Adrian, MI; mother, Iris Miller of Lynchburg, TN.  She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Eugene Miller (Tim) and infant sister, Rebecca Sue Miller.  A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 27th, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Dundee American Legion, 418 Dunham St, Dundee, MI 48131.  Arrangements with Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
