Barbara Funk-Prater Obituary

Barbara Lou Funk-Prater, age 78, of Jackson, Mi passed away September 12, 2021 peacefully at her home after a battle with cancer. Barbara was born December 16, 1942 in Saline, Mi. the daughter of Robert and Minerva "Minnie" (Holtz) Funk. She married Larry (Jim) James Prater and he preceded her in death. Barbara's first husband, Eugene (Chris) Christian Cummings also preceded her in death and was the father to her children, Christal Ann (Christopher) Hertel and grandchildren Jessica, Blake (Emily), Payton, Dylan (Macy), Xander, Monique (Andrew), Heather (James), Nevaeh Kae, and Layla RyAnn. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son William Joseph (Tara) Cummings and sisters, Jane Townsend, Suetta Smith, and Carol Cox. Barbara is survived by step children, Chris Prater, James Prater, Laura Prater and Noel Prater. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her beautiful life will be at a later date.
