Arthur D. Garcia, Sr.

Arthur D. Garcia Sr, age of 83, of Adrian, passed away on November 27, 2020 into the loving arms of our Savior Jesus Christ.  He was born July 18, 1937, in Blissfield, MI, to Peter Garcia and Armandina Arredondo-Garcia. He married Marcella Sotelo on August 22, 1964.  Art was a graduate from Adrian High School class of 1957, he served in the Navy from 1958 to 1961.  Art retired from General Motors after 30 years and attended Jesus Is Lord Ministries.  He was a man of great faith, a loving and kind son, brother, uncle, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and friend.  He will be remembered by his hugs, great smile, and good heart.  Art will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Art is survived by his grandson David Jesse Garcia, daughter- in-law Christina Garcia, good friend Verna Frayer and siblings: Peter C Garcia, Rose Little, Richard and Clara Garcia, Ellie and Delmas Morgan, Elizabeth Morgan, Phyllis and Pat McDevitt, Robert and Sherry Garcia, Dottie Huls, Rachel Matthews, Dan and Denise Garcia.  He is Preceded in death by his Mother and Father; sister, Sally Arrendondo, wife, Marcella (Sotelo) Garcia, and son, Arthur D Garcia II.  The Memorial Service will be Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 11:00 am at Jesus Is Lord Ministries with Pastor Pete Valdez officiating. Military Honors will be performed by U.S. Navy Honor Guard.  In lieu of flowers you can make donations for David’s college fund.  Memorial contributions may be made to Christina Garcia.   www.PurseFuneralHome.com
