Anthony "Tony" Scott Brown

Anthony "Tony" Scott  Brown, age 48, of Adrian, MI, passed away February 20, 2020 at DMC Harper University Hospital in Detroit, MI.  Tony was born January 31, 1972, in Adrian, Michigan, the son of Minnie Louise Brown and Franklin Jerome Jones. Tony is survived by his father, Franklin Jerome Jones, his wife, Sandra, his daughters, Alleysia and Jazmond; his sons Brady; Christopher, Caleb and their mother Tiffany and her children who he loved as his own, Ashley, Katie, and Tyler (Zeanna); one grandson, Chance; four brothers, Brandon, Jerome, Jeremy and Andrew; three aunts, Shirley Woodard, Patricia (Willie) Johnson and Sandra (Eric) Brown; two uncles, Willie (Johnny) Battles, Dr. Reverend Wiburt James (Elnora) Battles Sr.; Special Cousin, Lisa Nwabude; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Louise Brown, maternal grandparents, R.T. and Jessie Brown, paternal grandparents, Henry and Lela Jones and an aunt, Lucy Tucker.  Tony graduated from Madison High School in 1990 and attended Northwood University. He was an beloved member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church (A.M.E.) but recently had joined Mosaic Church in Detroit, MI.  At the time of his death, he was completing theology courses through Regent University.  Tony had a generous spirit and was known to help if he could. His adversities never broke his spirit and when he died, he was in a positive, spiritual renewal. Anthony Scott Brown was loved and will be truly missed.  Visitation will be on Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 28, 2020, at J.
