Andrew Browne Obituary

Andrew Paul Browne was born on August 12th, 1961 in Statesboro,Georgia. He was the youngest child born to the Reverend William T. Browne and Alice (Godfrey) Browne. Andrew graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors in Education. He passed away peacefully on August 4th, 2020, in Lansing Michigan. Andrew’s short life was anything but normal. One could say he crammed several lives into 58 years. He was a southerner by birth and blood, with a deep connection to Florida. He was a Michigander by choice and found peace in life at the Gurdjieff Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Andrew loved spending time outdoors and had a passion for gardening and landscaping. He loved the water and felt at home near any river, lake, or ocean. He loved music and played both the guitar and the piano. He was smart, funny, sensitive, creative, and kind. He could make a philosophical argument out of just about anything. Despite all this, Andrew was a troubled soul. For the duration of his life, he battled himself, society’s expectations, and anything else that dared to hinder his free spirit. Here’s to hoping his soul is free now. Andrew cared deeply for his children, all of whom were influenced in some way by his spirit. Allison, Justin, Jordan (Angela), Kevan, and their mother Janet. Ian, his mother Diana and her son, Sean. He leaves behind one grandchild, Hadley, and one sibling, Patricia (David) Lloyd. His companion of many years, Kim Rose, and many other friends will carry on his story. Although the family acknowledges that his suffering has ended, he will be deeply missed.
