William A. Mizla Jr.

William A. Mizla, Jr. age  77, of Madison Twp., MI, passed away, December 6, 2018, at Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home. He was born June 28, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of William Sr. & Sophie (Petrosky) Mizla. On August 8, 1963, he married Dianne Costello, she preceded him in death on February 28, 2017. He is survived by children, Kimberly (Bob) Hester, Melissa Mizla and Kristine (Dirk) Ysassi, daughter in law, Tina Mizla, ten grandchildren, Amanda, Kaitlyn, Taryn, Miranda, Sophia, Jacob, Vanessa, Taylor, Christian and Dirk, four great grandchildren, Aubrielle, Carlo, Brooklynn and Maelynn, two sisters, Elizabeth Wallick, Adelaide Wagasky and nephew, Ian Wagasky. In addition to his wife of 54 years, Dianne, he was preceded in death by his parents, William & Sophie Mizla, his son, William Mizla III, his daughter, Michelle Mizla. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Monday December 10, 2018, at St. Mary of Good Counsel of Catholic Church, 305 Division Street, Adrian, MI, with Fr. Jack Loughran presiding. Burial will follow in Hunt Cemetery, Madison Twp, MI. William will lie in state on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, William's wish is memorial contributions be made to his great granddaughter Maelynn Masters, c/o Kaitlyn Tribendis, 521 Regency Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15239. Maelynn was diagnosed at 18 months with Periventricular Leukomalacia (PVL) and Spastic Cerebral Palsy (CP).
