Wanda Casteller

Wanda Casteller, age 86, of Tecumseh, formerly of Curtisville and Lincoln Park, died January 3, 2018.  She was born September 26, 1931 in Schram City, IL the daughter of Guy and Mary (Beckham) Segrest.  On November 5, 1949 she married Remo Casteller in Detroit, MI and he preceded her in death on September 4, 2013.  Wanda was a member of Curtisville Baptist Church where she served as Treasurer.  She was a current member of First Presbyterian Church of Tecumseh.  Wanda was a warm woman who made friends easily and even though she was small in stature, she had a large presence wherever she went.  Her cooking skills were phenomenal, she was especially known for her awesome spaghetti & meatballs and risotto.  Wanda's family has many fond memories of family gatherings and her selfless outpourings of love, especially for her grandchildren. Throughout her life Wanda was a very generous person who touched many lives. Wanda was loved by all, will be dearly missed, and never forgotten.  She is survived by her children, Rick (Linda) of Tecumseh, and Randy (Penny) of Glennie, and Renee (Brian) Jackson of Olympia, WA; 8 granchildren, Reagan Casteller, Randall Casteller,  Rachel (Brad) Arnett, Richard Skeen, Ryan Skeen, Taylor R. Jackson, and Gavin Jackson; a great grandson; Roman Arnett; and two sisters, Gayle (Keith) Gaw of Tecumseh, and  Glenda (Dan) Cherniak of Lincoln Park.  In addition to her husband, Remo she was preceded in death by grandson, Rickey Casteller; sister, Darla (Benny) Benedict and brother, Guy Segrest.  Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday January 6, 2018 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Rev. Cathi King officiating. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.  Dinner in honor of Wanda will immediately follow at A.J.
