Vernell Sumner

Vernell Sumner, age 95, of Adrian, MI, passed away August 2, 2017.  She was born February 8, 1922, in Phil Campbell, Alabama, the daughter of Andy & Kizzie (Clark) Raper. On September 1, 1938, she married Glenn Sumner, he preceded her in death on May 20, 1986.  She is survived by her children, Donald (Sharon) Sumner and Faye (Jerry) Gray, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and her sister, Berniece (Uple) Palmer.  In addition to her husband Glenn, she was preceded in death by four sisters, LulaBelle, Flora, MaryLois and Dorsula and two brothers, Glaney and Marlin.  Visitation will be on Friday, August 4, 2017, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at J.
