Thomas Joseph Valencich

Thomas Joseph Valencich age 69, of Raisin Township passed away August 22, 2017.  Tom was born May 25, 1948 in Ann Arbor, Michigan the son of Joseph and Naomi (Gidley) Valencich.  On  September 29, 1973 he married Carol Jordan and she survives.  He was a graduate of Chelsea High School and worked for Ford Motor Company in Saline for 32 years.  He was a Sprint Car Racing enthusiast.  In addition to his wife, Carol, Tom is survived by his children, Phillip J. Valencich and Jennifer (Timothy) Valencich-Mannor; grandchildren Tyler and Tatum Mannor; sisters, Marlene Wisner and Mary Jo Weeks and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Linda and Josephine and brother, Peter.  Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Saturday, August 26. 2017 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Rev. Earl Brown officiating.  Visitation will be 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P. M. Friday August 25, 2017 at the funeral home.
