Ruth Irene Turski

Ruth Irene Turski, age 92, of Adrian, MI, passed away, June 4, 2019, at home with family surrounding her. She was born October 29, 1926, in Addison, MI, the daughter of George & Mabel (Woods) Roberts.  Ruth taught over 40 years, mainly elementary and head start at Madison Schools. Her love in life was children, conversation and she loved caring for people. Everyone loved her company.  Ruth is survived by two daughters, Linda (Porter) Rosacrans and her husband Ned of Tecumseh, MI and Barbara (Porter) Oliver of Port Orange, FL, four  grandchildren, Tammy (Mike) Smith, Terry (Theresa) Stout, Shellie (Don) Grayer and Stacey Polhemus, five great grandchildren and one great great grandson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, one great grandson, Kevin Polhemus and two husbands, Richard Ganun and Melvin Turski.  Visitation will be on Sunday, June 9, 2019, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
