Richard "Dick" Myers Obituary

Richard “Dick” Myers 86, Tecumseh, passed away February 23, 2019. Dick was born March 16, 1932, to Lehr and Lucille (Lance) Myers of Findlay, Ohio. In August 1951, he married Blanche Detrick of Friendsville, Maryland. From 1951 through 1959, he was employed by The Kroger Company in both Ohio and Michigan, moving to Tecumseh in 1956. In 1959 he joined Frito Lay, retiring in 1990 when he and Blanche moved to Punta Gorda, Florida, then returning to Adrian in 2014. Dick is survived by one son, David (Brenda) Myers of Tecumseh, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one brother, Don A. (Dortha) Myers of Darien, Georgia. Dick was preceded in death by his loving wife Blanche of 65 years and one son, Jack (Diane) Myers of Rapid City, South Dakota. Dick was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tecumseh and a member of Kiwanis International. He enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling, golf and wood carving. He was a member of the Charlotte County Florida Woodcarvers Association. Cremation has taken place. Donations may be made in Richard's name to The American Alzheimer Association or The American Diabetes Association.
