Richard LaVon Davis, Jr.

Richard LaVon Davis Jr., age 55, of Onsted, passed away July 18, 2017.  Richard was born February 18, 1962 in Bryan, Ohio the son of Richard LaVon and Gwendolyn (Swank) Davis Sr.  Richard was a 1980 graduate of Onsted High School and a 1988 graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering.  He was presently employed at Ford Motor Company, Dearborn as the Senior Paint Engineer, Supervisor New Model Development and Launch.  Richard is survived his children, Richard Davis III, Brian (Chelsea) Iott and Elizabeth Davis; siblings, Shelby (Kevin) Holloway, Delphia McKelvey, Martha (Jim) Clifton and Jon Davis; 2 grandchildren; 5 nieces; 5 nephews; 2 great nephews; 1 great niece and his beloved cat, Posey.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Davis and his cat, Tigger.  Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Eric Hickman officiating.  Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 p. m.
