Richard Dale Kelley

Richard Dale Kelley, 86, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018 at home surrounded by his family.  He was born on April 30, 1932 in Fairfield, MI to Earl T. and Edrie I. (née Hambrook) Kelley. Richard was previously married to Arlene (née Nichols) Kelley.  He married Lavina “Alice” Kelley on May 6, 1989 in Adrian, MI.  Alice preceded him in death.  Richard worked as a custodian with the Sutton Schools in Raisin Charter Township for 22 years.  Richard is survived by his 6 children, Peg (Rich) Powell, Tom (Jan) Kelley, Vicky (Terry (deceased)) Roberts, Colleen Roberts, Toni (Bob) Reed, and Rick Kelley, 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Shirley (Steve) French, a brother, Jim (Bonnie) Rogers, a brother, Larry Rogers, 8 step-children, and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his wife Alice, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Arlene, his parents, grandson, Chad Wayne Roberts and son in law, Terry Roberts.  Funeral Services for Richard will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 4, 2019, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with a graveside service immediately following at North Dover Cemetery, 1400 S. Hawkins Highway, Clayton, MI.
