Paul William Schafer

Paul William Schafer, age 76, of Tecumseh, passed away March 20, 2018,  He was born July 20, 1941 in Wyandotte, MI, the son of Joseph and Frieda (Sell) Schafer.  On September 7, 1963, he married Sylvia "Sally" Swanston and she survives.   Paul was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 1960.   He was a self employed farmer, custom applicator, and provider of industrial services during his working career.  He also enjoyed farming, bowling, playing cards and socializing with everybody.  In addition to his wife Sally, he is survived by two sons, Steven Schafer and Warren (Dawn) Schafer; four grandchildren; John (Ashley) Schafer, Jason (Erin) Napier, Mason Schafer, Emily Schafer; 2 great grandchildren; Matthew and Annabelle Schafer; four brothers, Ralph, Howard (Joan) Melvin (Barbara), Joel (Joyce); two sisters; Joyce Schultz and Ilene (Ed) Schroeder; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Blanche and Myrtle and brother, Roy.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Dave McCarty officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh.  Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018 at J.
