I am so sorry for your loss. I think Mona was the last of my Dads relatives in this area. He used to go visit her, and they talked on the phone often.

Just read online that Monna had passed away and, in fact, her funeral was just a couple of hours ago. She lived a very long life and no doubt was loved by many. My mother, Erlene Wells, who passed away last year was a friend of Monna's and they both attended the United Methodist Church for many, many decades. She will be missed by many in the Morenci community....99 years young! How wonderful!

There is seemingly a nice gene in the Quackenbush family because Monna and her sister Ilo were as pleasant as can be. Monna lived to 99 and Ilo to 97 (d.1995). Monna was a true inspiration and when I saw her at family reunions she had "True Grit'.
My mother (her niece) if alive, would be sad. Onward & upward though-what else can we do?

Mary and I really enjoyed our visits with Aunt Monna. She was a wonderful gal and we will always remember her enthusiasm for life.
