Mildred Constance DeLorey

Mildred Constance DeLorey, known to everyone as Connie, entered into heavenly rest on October 23rd, 2019 in Appleton, Wisconsin.  She was the beloved wife of the late Paul (D.2004) DeLorey.  They were married for 55 beautiful years. She was the most loving Mother to her children; Dennis (Amy), Clifford (Sally), Robert, Jack (Sheri), David (Kathy), and Joanne (David Walkowski). Her grandchildren were her joy, they adored her almost as much as she adored them.  Ben, Anna, Harry (Shannon), Zara (Jimi), Nick, Paul, Robert, Kathryn (Chris), Timmerie (Ryan), Jackson (Fallon), Rachael, John, Katie and Molly. She was blessed with eight beautiful great grandchildren, Dylan, Audrey, Kingston, Isac, Brayden, Scarlett, Oliver and Violet. Connie is preceded in death and will be welcomed into her eternal home by her husband Paul, son Clifford, and loving parents Joseph and Anne Vargo. Connie was a loving, high-spirited, and beautiful soul who everyone she came in contact with adored her.  She and Paul loved raising their large family and watching their grandkids grow.  Connie also had a passion for the game of golf.  She and Paul would travel during the Michigan winters to Florida and Arizona to play year-round.  She even had a hole in one! Connie was born in Detroit and lived most of her life in Detroit, Farmington, Brighton, and Ann Arbor.  In 2015 Connie moved to Renaissance Assisted Living in Appleton, Wisconsin to be near her daughter, Joanne.  Her last years were spent with wonderful new friends in a loving and caring environment, where Joanne was able to visit her often.  The staff adored Connie and treated her like family. In her final days, the beautiful nurses and aids loved and cared for Connie.  They treated her with exceptional respect, dignity and adoration.  Connie’s family would like to thank the staff at Renaissance, managed by Nicole, Nurses Cheryl and Butch and all the incredible dedicated aids, including Anna, Jessica, Grace, Tiffany, Kala, Jess; also the kitchen and support staff and to everyone who blessed Connie’s life every day she was there. Thank you also to the Aseracare Hospice staff, especially nurses Tammi and Kayla.  Because of their kind and compassionate care Connie and Joanne were better able to cope and accept her final days. A celebration of Connie’s life will take place in Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 4-7 P. M. at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 210 Pottawatamie St. Tecumseh, MI 49286. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Mary of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 305 Division St Adrian, MI 49221 with Fr. Tim McIntire as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
