Melvin R. Sudorowski

Melvin R. Sudorowski, age 67, of Tipton, MI, passed away on November 27, 2018 while surrounded by his loving wife, children, and their spouses. Melvin was born on February 2, 1951 to Mitchell and Adele (Kosal) Sudorowski. On October 27, 1973, he married the love of his life, Catherine Herbert. Together, they have three children and nine grandchildren. Melvin was known to his many friends and beloved family by many names: Dad, Papa, Suds, Melbowski, Mel, Polish Godfather, Polish Prince, and Johnny Whiteshoes. He enjoyed simple pleasures including endless laps around the lake on his pontoon, drinking a cold one, and spending time with his family.  Mel is survived by his loving wife; Cathy or as he called her--Cat, his sister; Trisha Miller, his children; Jason (Kristin) Sudorowski, Christopher (Amanda) Sudorowski, and Melissa (Michael) Schook, and his grandchildren; Tyler, Ayla, Lucas, Elizabelle, Jayce, Juliette, Branson, Alexander, and Owen. Preceded in death by his parents; Mitchell and Adele Sudorowski, and sister Arlene Dee.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM Friday, November 30, 2018 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N, Adrian Hwy. Adrian, MI.  A funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Ste. Anne de Detroit Catholic Church, 1000 St. Anne Street, Detroit, MI, with Fr. Ryan Adams as celebrant. Following mass, there will be a wake to celebrate Mel's life at John PVT Lyskawa VFW Post #7546, 6828 N. Waverly St, Dearborn Heights, MI, 48127.
