Mary Elizabeth Ashenfelter

Mary  Elizabeth  Ashenfelter, age 66, of Adrian, MI, passed away, March 24, 2018.   She was born February 26, 1952, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Kenneth & Martha (Casper) Ashenfelter. Mary worked as a cook at the Adrian Dominican Sister Motherhouse for almost forty years. She loved spending time with her family and going to Pow Wow's. Mary was always on the go and loved doing things with her grandkids.  She is survived by her daughter, Heather (Jeff) Pieplow, her grandchildren, Daniel Gallatin, Michael Burger and Rosemary Burger, great grandson, Jameson Pieplow, four brothers, Kenneth "John" (Mary) Ashenfelter, Tim Ashenfelter, Terry Ashenfelter and Gary Ashenfelter and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth & Martha Ashenfelter, sister in law, Karen Terrell.  Memorial Services will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Fr. Tom Murphy, OSFS presiding. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until the time of service at the J.
