Joseph Paul Rudd

Joseph Paul Rudd of Clinton MI passed away suddenly February 16, 2019.  Joe was born on June 23, 1968 to Richard and Beverly Rudd.  Joe was born and raised in Tecumseh MI.  He attended Tecumseh schools and played his favorite sport of football for Tecumseh.  He was a huge football fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines and loved throwing something good on the grill before watching them play on football Saturdays. Joe worked many years at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor both on campus and in the hospital.  More recently he worked for Adrian Taxi Co. in Adrian MI as a driver.  This is a job he really enjoyed because Joe loved meeting and talking with new people. Anyone who met Joe would always be struck by his friendly nature and big laugh.  It is said that the quality of a man’s true character can be measured by the warm feelings and great memories he leaves behind him in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him and Joe left those with everyone. Joe was a devoted and loving father to his daughter Samantha Jo and he was a devoted and loving grandfather to his four granddaughters, all of whom just adored their “Grandpa Joe”.  His kindness, sincerity, generosity and humor had a tremendous impact on all his friends and family that will stay with them always.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Beverly Rudd.  He is survived by his daughter Samantha Jo (Adam) Foster of Clinton, four granddaughters, Faith Mathis, Brooke Foster, Leah Foster, and Lelia Foster, his siblings, Dave (Ann) Rudd of Onsted, Laurie (Ed) Steele of Tecumseh, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Water Wheel Clubhouse in Clinton, MI., 316 W. Michigan Ave., from 1 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, February 24, 2019.
