Joseph Gustave Major

Joseph Gustave Major, age 79, of Adrian, MI, passed away, May 28, 2017.  He was born May 3, 1938, in Detroit, MI, the son of Gusatve & Berthe (Demers) Major.  On April 2, 1958, he married Bernadette Pergeau, she preceded him in death on July 31, 2010.  Together they had three children and lived in Livonia for many years.  He retired from Best Block Concrete in Livonia.  Joe had a great sense of humor and was always pulling pranks on everyone.  Joseph is survived by three children, Richard (Ellen) Major of Howell, Mich., Charles (Cheri) Major of Fultonville, N.Y., and Michelle Major of Adrian, Mich, his grandchildren, Philip, Keith, Eric, Justin, Jacob, Danielle and Joey and 16 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadette Major and grandson, Justin Smith.  Memorial Services will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, June 1, 2017, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.  Visitation will also be on Thursday from 6:00 PM until the time of service at the J.
