Jean A. (Thompson) Cunningham

Jean A. Cunningham, age 92, of Clinton, passed away April 16, 2017. Jean was born October 17, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Galvin and Gladys (Sherman) Thompson. On July 28, 1944 she married Thomas Cunningham in Detroit,  He preceded her in death February 10, 1982.  She was a graduate of Redford High School, Detroit.  In 1963 she and her husband moved  to Tecumseh and became the proprietors of Airport Bowl.  Many people will remember Jean as the Salad Lady at Don's Beef Buffet.Jean is survived by her children,  Diana (Phillip) Six, Robert (Lisa) Cunningham and Wendy Cunningham-Tucker; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and brother, Robert (Sandy) Thompson. In addition to her husband, Thomas, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald; sister, Lois and a granddaughter. Autumn. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, April 21, 2017 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Rev. Philip Krieger officiating.  Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh. Visitation will be 2 - 4  and 6 - 8 P. M. Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the funeral home.
