James Smith Obituary

James R. Smith, age 91, of Leesburg, Florida, formerly of Clinton, passed away August 15, 2018 in Cadillac, MI. James served in the US Navy, retired from Tecumseh Products and worked for the Adrian Telegram until he was in his eighties. James favorite things to do were flying and remodeling houses. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margarite and son, Michael Smith. Surviving are his son, William Merwin (Linda) of Leesburg, Florida; two granddaughters, Gloria Cubberly of Tecumseh and Valerie Piercy (Jerome) of Onsted; two grandsons, Phil of Littleton, Colorado and Matt of Clinton; two great grandchildren, Payten Baughey and Jacob Curtis of Onsted and one great great granddaughter, Vivienne. He requested no services, but a memorial luncheon will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
