Ivan Glen Kimery

Ivan Glen Kimery, age 85, of Adrian, MI, passed away, December 12, 2018, at Charlotte Stephenson Manor. He was born February 19, 1933, in Limestone, TN, the son of Dana & Mary (Broyles) Kimery. On April 21, 1956 he married the love of his live, Irene (Hall) Kimery in Flat Rock, Michigan. She preceded him in death on May 9, 2014.  Ivan served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from National Steel, River Rouge Plant after 42 years of service.  Ivan is survived by his 2 daughters, Pansy Elliott of Adrian and Susie Fleming of Lincoln Park, Michigan, 3 Grandchildren Randy Elliott, Michelle (Joe) Bodnar and J.R. Fleming, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his wife Irene, he was preceded in death by his parents, all his siblings, grandson, Robert Elliott and son in law, Bobby Elliott.  Visitation will be on Sunday, December 16, 2018, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Monday December 17, 2018, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI, with Rev. Larry Betz officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI with Military Honors performed by the Tecumseh American Legion Post #34 and VFW Post #4187 Honor Guard.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee.
