Irene Lois Nuber

Irene Lois Nuber, 92, of Adrian, joined her loving husband in heaven on  April 15, 2017.  She had been thoughtfully cared for by the staff of  Cambrian Memory Care and Hospice of Lenawee.  She was born on March 12, 1925, in Adrian, to Clifford and Erma (Clark) Rinehart. On September 2, 1944, she married Jacob J. Nuber in Adrian, Michigan. They had 48 wonderful years together before he passed in 1992.  Irene graduated from Adrian High School with the class of 1943.  She was employed with the American Chain and Cable Company for 28 years.  Irene was an avid bowler, Red Cross Blood Donor, and gardener. Many will miss her welcoming smile and her heart-warming generosity. Irene is survived by two sons, Jay (Sandy), and Joel (Teresa); four grandchildren, Luke, Emily, Matt, and Joanna; five great-grandchildren, Alexis, Callie, Jacob, Wyatt, and Maxwell; beloved sister-in-law Betty Rinehart and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob; her parents; and six siblings, Harold, Wallace, Geraldine, Betty, Marian, and James.  At her request, cremation has taken place. A family celebration of Irene’s life will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Adrian Senior Center, Lenawee Humane Society and Hospice of Lenawee.
