Gordon Lee Snyder, age 73, of Adrian, passed away December 29, 2017. Gordon was born June 15, 1944 in Adrian, Michigan the son of Arthur and Fern (Jones) Snyder. On July 15, 1972 he married Nancy Kennel and she survives. He was a graduate of Adrian High School and Michigan State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Gordon in his earlier days farmed with his family in the Adrian area. After 40 years of service he retired from Dura Corporation. Gordon had many interests and loves that included his horses, bowling, golfing, softball and working with 4-H members. Most of all he loved being with his family. In addition to his wife, Nancy, Gordon is survived by his children, Jill (Guy) Foreman and Edward Snyder; brothers, Fay (Sally) and Mel (Kay) Snyder and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerald. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Saturday, from 12:00 Noon until time of funeral services at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
