Garnett V. (Craft) Blackburn

Garnett V. Blackburn, age 82, of Taylor, passed away January 6, 2020. Garnet was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky the daughter of Lonnie Robison and Lucy Craft. On July 18, 1956 she married Bill B. Blackburn, Sr. and he preceded her in death. Garnett will be remembered for feeding the family Sunday morning breakfast of biscuits and gravy. She was a loving mother of seven children, Karen (Glenn) Pennington, Bill Blackburn (Diane) Jr., Charles (Robin) Blackburn, Jorene (Rod) Dietrich, Bud (Louri) Blackburn, Barbara (George) Bennett and Greg (Lisa) Blackburn, 20 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brothers, Arthur Smith,and Sam Smith; Sisters, Mary Ruth Osborne and Billie Lou Osborne and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband Bill, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Florence Ann Shepard. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A. M. Friday, January 10, 2020 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with  Rev. Jerry Lawson  officiating.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Ypsilanti, Mi.  Visitation will be 2:00 - 8:00 P. M. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
