Frederick "Fred" Steel Allen 

Fred Allen, age 69, of Adrian, MI, passed away, August 27, 2018.  He was born August 8, 1949, in Indiana, PA, the son of Frederick & Helen (Steel) Allen. On June 20, 1970, he married Diane DuShane, she survives.  Fred attended Adrian College and then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army.    He was a realtor in Lenawee County for over 40 years and currently working at Linda Rudd & Associates. Fred also owned Allen's Auto Body in Tecumseh and currently Allen & Sons Used Cars in Adrian, MI. He loved his grandchildren and boating. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was the life of every party. Fred looked forward to vacationing at his condo in Cape Coral, FL. He attended Crossroads Community Church and was a former member of the Clinton United Methodist Church.  In addition to his wife Diane, he is survived by two sons, Christopher (Andrea) Allen of Owosso, OK, and Frederick "Buddy" (Tracy) Allen of Adrian, his grandchildren, Maya, Peyton, Somer, Carter and Chance, step granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Chelsea, Sydney and Hailey and four step great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Visitation will be on Thursday, August 30, 2018, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 31, 2018, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI, with Rev. David Woodby officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI with Military Honors performed by the Adrian VFW Post 1584 Honor Guard.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
