Elmer Edward Dittmer

Elmer Edward Dittmer, age 76, of Tecumseh, passed away March 22, 2018.  He was born March 1, 1942 in Detroit, MI, the son of Arthur and Eleanor (Dubke) Dittmer.   Elmer is survived by his wife Barbara Fay Dittmer, married on July 27, 1963.  Elmer was a graduate of Romulus High School, Class of 1960.  He was a resident of the Tecumseh Area since 1975, coming from Westland, MI.  Elmer was retired from Consumers Power Company with over 40 years of service.  In addition to his wife Barbara; he is survived by two daughters, Shelly Eaton and Rachel (John) Basile; son, Eric (Angela) Dittmer; 7 grandchildren; and 4 sisters, Lorraine Gates, Lois (Frank) Smythe, Violet (William) McMurtry, and Doris Baldwin.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Wednesday March 28, 2018 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.  A. luncheon will follow at Tecumseh VFW Post, 427 N. Evans St., Tecumseh for friends and family.   Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday March, 27, 2018 at J.
