Ellen Beatrice Ochoa, age 73, of Clinton, passed away January 23, 2020. Ellen was born March 10, 1946 in Huntsville, Alabama the daughter of Walter and Selma (Petty) Johnson. On July 19, 1965 she married Robert William Ochoa. Ellen was many things during her life including a chef, a financial planner, a beauty consultant, a Tupperware manager and a past Worthy Matron in the Ypsilanti Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crafts like making quilts, ornamental eggs and beaded jewelry. She was known for her culinary skills, and was an avid gardener. Ellen was a woman of many talents, but above all she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. It didn't matter if you were poor or wealthy, she saw the value in everyone. Ellen is survived by her children, Christopher (Stacy) of Bonsall, CA, Lisa Bouzide of Troy, MI, Mark (April) of Kansas City, MO and John (Kate) of Milan, MI; 15 grandchildren, Racquel, Rendell, Kaylin, Ryan, Ashley, Hannah, Jamie, Rachel, Lindsay, Jordan, Allysa, Sidney, William, Gabrielle and Elena; 10 great grandchildren and siblings, Katherine Johnson of Lake Matthews, CA, Evelyn (Dennis) Wilson of Lake Matthews, CA and Walter (Frieda) Johnson of Jackson, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Bobby and her brother, Edward. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, January 27, 2020 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Clinton with Fr. Daniel Wheeler as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Dominic Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 P. M. Sunday, January 26, 2020 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh and one hour prior to the mass at the church on Monday. Memorials in Ellen's name may be made to the family to be directed to the charily of their choice.
