Ella Mae Hood

Ella Mae Hood, age 92, of Tecumseh, passed away May 19, 2017. Ella was born September 26, 1924 the daughter of William and Emily (Johnson) Rader.  In 1948 she married Gene Hood in London, Kentucky and he preceded her in death.  Ella worked at The Diner in the 1960's and baby sat for many families in the Tecumseh area. She dearly loved her nieces and nephews, helping to raise them. Ella is survived by her sister, Barbara Reams of Tecumseh; nephews, Larry (Karen) Carr of Kettering, Ohio; and Gary (Mary) Rader of Toledo; many nieces and nephews in Kentucky and sister in law, Jennie Rader of Tecumseh. In addition to her husband, Gene, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Junior (Red), James and Fred Rader and sisters, Zelma, Grace and Mildred. Visitation for family and friends will be 3:00 - 7:00 P. M. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.  Burial will take place in Brookside Cemetery.
