Donald (Mac) MacLean Obituary

Donald P. MacLean Jr. 68 died peacefully on Friday, June 29, at  the  VA hospital in  Ann Arbor.  Known as "Mac" to every one, he was born June 24, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois. He was semi retired and worked part time at Krogers. He was the son of Donald MacLean Sr. and Joan C. (Porter) MacLean, and they preceded him in death, along with a brother David Maclean.  On October  31, 2012 he married Mary H (Kelly) MacLean and she survives, along with five sons, Kip (Melinda) Kelly,  Kerry (Jennifer) Kelly, Bruce ( Kim) Bailey, Eric ( Lesley) Kelly, and Randy Kelly; four granddaughters, Courtney, Amanda, Rachel, and Aubrey; two sisters, Debbie ( Don) Maxwell, and Donna McCafferty. Mac served in the U S Navy 1969 to 1975. He was a member of the American Legion Post for 25 years and he started the American Legion Riders Chapter 360. He loved everyone, and there wasn't  a person that didn't become family to him. He was a big joker and loved to kid around with everyone. He always made you laugh every day. Mac loved making bird houses and car models, and he collected toy trucks and cars. He was a Harley guy through and through. A memorial service will by held at the American Legion Post 360 in Reading MI on Friday July 5th, at 5 pm. Burial will be at a later date, with Military Honors performed by US Navy Honor Guard at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta Twp, Mi
