Donald Garnier, Jr.

Donald Garnier Jr, age 64, of Adrian, MI, passed away April 10, 2019 at home. He was born April 11, 1954 in Pontiac, Michgan to Donald & Peggy (Furkey) Garnier. He graduated from Waterford Township High School in 1972. On April 11, 1984 he married the love of his life, Elsa (Olsen) Garnier.  He retired from GM Powertrain in Toledo, Ohio after 21 years. Don could always be found in the garage with a new project that he was working on, from cars to motorcycles, four wheelers to snowmobiles and everything in between. His passion started at an early age with a love for cars, driving, racing and working on them, he enjoyed anything that he could drive and work on. From boat racing, car shows, snow mobiling trips up state, go kart racing on the weekends with his kids, fixing up motorcycles to cruise around on the back roads or simply hanging out in the garage, there was always something keeping him busy. Don was a loving man, who would give you a place to stay or the shirt off his back if you needed it, and always knew how to lighten the mood with a good joke. In addition to his wife, Elsa (Olsen) Garnier, he is survived by his sister Lisa (Garnier) McCully, numerous children, grandchildren and many people who looked up to him as a father figure. He is proceeded in death by his father, Donald Garnier Sr, and his mother Peggy (Furkey) Garnier, along with many extended family members. A celebration of life will be planned once cremation in the near future.
