Donald D. Conrad

Donald D. Conrad, 47 of Battle Creek, MI, died suddenly at home Saturday, February 17, 2018.  Born May 25, 1970 in Hastings, MI to Willis and Janice (Hale) Conrad, who preceded him in death.  Don is survived by his life partner Mary E. Burger, daughter Elizabeth Jean Conrad, and sister Mona (Mike) Arnold, his best buddies Big Jack and Kenya Girl and friend Mary Lynn Falbe.  He was also preceded in death in October 2015 by his brother Michael Conrad.  Don was employed in Floor Care and Environmental Services his entire career, most recently with WM Janitorial Supply Co. at WMU College of Aviation and GDI Omni at the Kellogg Company.  In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, puttering on the computer, working on his Jeep and most especially his time with his life partner Mary and their furry kids Jack and Kenya.  He will be sadly missed.  Honoring Don’s wishes, cremation arrangements are being handled by Purse Funeral Home.  A celebration of Don’s life will take place at 2:00 p.m Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 303 Weeks Avenue, Battle Creek, MI.  Memorials in Don’s name can be made to Dickman Road Veterinarian Clinic on Columbia, 680 W. Columbia Avenue, Battle Creek, MI  49015, to help those struggling to afford medical care for their pets.
