Donald Wayne Baker, age 88, of Clinton, passed away March 26, 2018, at home surrounded by his family. Donald was born June 1, 1929 in Tecumseh, Michigan the son of George and Elfrieda (Sill) Baker. On August 1, 1950, he married Dorothy "Florine" Lidster in Ridgeway Church of the Nazarene and she preceded him in death March 21, 2006. After graduation from Henry Ford School in Macon he served two years in the United States Army being stationed in Germany. He was a lifelong farmer and also worked for the United States Postal Service. Donald was a member of the Adrian First Church of the Nazarene. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time at his cabin in the Upper Peninsula. Donald is survived by his son, Dewey (Vicki) Baker of Clinton; daughter, Miala (William) Glaser of Robinson, Texas; four grandchildren, Benjamin (Laura) Baker of Clinton, Joshua (Laura) Baker of Clinton, Daniel (Stacy) Glaser of Texas, and Natalie (Steve) Cochran of Texas; 5 great grandchildren, Katelyn, Peter, Jude, Julie and Davis; brother, Merle (Elaine) Baker and sister, Marilyn Baker. In addition to his wife, Florine, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dale , in infancy. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Tecumseh Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. David Fulks officiating. Interment will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh. Visitation will be from 4 -8 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2018 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
