Christine Renee Torres

Christine Renee Torres died on February 21, 2018, at the age of 59.  Mrs. Torres is survived by her two children: Star Salazar and Jermaine Ross.  From a young age, Mrs. Torres was always a high energy person who loved being outdoors and around loved. In her late teens, she married Michael Salazar of Adrian, Michigan. Together, they had a beautiful daughter, Star Salazar. Later, she moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she meet Willie Lee Ross. Willie and Christine raised their son, Jermaine Ross, whom they cherished deeply.  Mrs. Torres worked for many years as a sewing machine operator at the former Mexican Industries in Detroit. In the last years of her life, she slowed down a bit as a string of illnesses found her in and out of hospitalized care. As a result, she moved back to her hometown of Adrian, where her family have remained by her side through it all. Christine died peacefully in her sleep on a beautiful Wednesday morning.  A gathering for family and friends will take place from 12:00 - 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 3, 2018, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, Michigan.
