Cheryl Whitehead

Cheryl Whitehead, age 54, of Tecumseh, passed away, January 8, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.  She was born September 28, 1964 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of Duane and Lucy (Fullerton) Dorr. On July 23, 1994 she married William G. Whitehead III, and he survives.Cheryl was employed with Saline Area Schools, Harvest Elementary School, Saline, MI.  She thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of her job and truly loved working with the students and staff at Harvest Elementary. In addition to her husband William III, she is survived by two daughters, Nicole (Caz) Rogozinski, Megan (Austin) Hughes; two sons; William IV (Emily) Whitehead, and Michael (Jamie) White; 9 grandchildren; Gwen, Jalen, Zac, Vince, Aiyden, Maximus, Bailey, Aubrey, and Carley; mother; Lucy Dorr; sister, Linda Inman; and her beloved springer spaniel who was her best friend, Marlee. She was preceded in death by her father, Duane Dorr in 2014. Visitation for Cheryl will be held 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday January 16, 2019 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. A Memorial Service will begin at 5:00 p.m.
