Cheri Ann Lawson

Cheri Ann Lawson passed away unexpectedly at St. John Macomb Hospital on December 10, 2017 at the young age of 49; she passed away peacefully surround by her loving family and friends. Cheri is predeceased by her sister Kimberly Sterner (Lawson), her father James Lawson; her mother Janell “Susie” (Smith-Lawson) Greer; her grandparents Hilda (Cunningham) Lawson, Henry Lawson; Ethel (Brimm) Smith, Talmedge Smith. Cheri is survived by her loving soulmate Sean Jordan of 28 years. She is also survived by her only child and her two grandchildren: her only son, Darryl and his significant other Nicole, and their two children: Kamden and Kylah. Cheri is lovingly remembered by her sisters, niece, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews: her sister April (Ronald Sr.), and their child: Ronald Jr. (Steph-Anie), and their two children: Steafan and Trystan; her sister Christina, and her children: Anthony and Ashton; her only niece Brandy, and her four children: Christopher, Alyssa, Kaleb, and Aiden; her nephew Robert (Shelby), and their three children: Elaina, Ryan, and Audriana; and nephew Tyler, and his daughter Ariana; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends who loved her dearly. Cheri was born in Detroit, MI on September 7, 1968, to the late James and Janell (Smith) Lawson. She was a middle child of four girls and was such a loving, caring, and beautiful woman, who would light up a room with her presence. She was a very outspoken woman and she made sure that everyone knew it. She was always the life of the party and everyone knew when she entered the room, because she would defiantly make it known. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Cheri loved her grandchildren more than anything in this world; they were her reason for living. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. The visitation will be held at North Warren Free Will Baptist Church, 3003 Chicago Rd., Warren, MI 48092 on January 6, 2018 at 2 pm to 5 pm. The funeral service will also be held at North Warren Free Will Baptist Church, 3003 Chicago Rd., Warren, MI 48092 starting at 3 pm. A Cremation will follow the service at Tri County Cremation Services, 1106 East Michigan Ave., Ypsilanti, MI 48198.
