Carrie L. (Hoffman) Nuyen

Carrie Nuyen, of Kalamazoo MI, passed away on June 14, 2017 at Borgess Hospital. Carrie was born on September 19, 1962, in Lansing MI., the daughter of the late Charles Hoffman and Norma Jean Allen. Carrie was married to Garry Nuyen on September 23, 1994 who preceded her in passing on May 8, 2013.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sami Jo. Carrie enjoyed fishing, reading, and on Sundays she loved watching the Detroit Lions football games. Above all, she loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves them with many fond memories and will be dearly missed at family events! Carrie is survived by two children, David (Heather) Hunsberger, Jeannie (Kevin) Newland; six grandchildren, Gavin, Aiden, Domanick, Robbie, Jace and McKenna;  two brothers, Michael (Bev) Hoffman, Steve Hoffman; two nieces, Jamie (Jack) Beckham and Francis Hoffman; two nephews, Joshua Hoffman and Dusten Hoffman;  and great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date. Remembrances may be made in the form desired by friends and family.
