Carl “Buzz, machine man” Elgie Baldwin was born in Elmore, OH on January 28th,1945 passed away unexpectedly January 13th, 2019 at Flower Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Buzz, a graduate of Bowling Green taught math and coached for 10 years in the Toledo public school system. Worked for Norfolk Southern as an engineer for forty one years. Carl married Karen (Masch) on July 29th 1989. Carl was baptized ,confirmed and married at St. John’s Lutheran in Oak Harbor,Oh. Preceded in death by his father , Nelson mother Charlotte , brother Bill (spanky) Baldwin. Survived by wife Karen, children Jennifer (Rich) Tracy, Andrea (Rick) Wilhelm, Brent (Lisa) Carroll, Colleen (Chris) Etts and Nicolas Frias our foreign exchange student from Brazil. Grandchildren Madison, Emma, Rick, Jacob, Abigail , Lani , Lilly and Reese. Faithful feline , beloved Inge. He was a loving and caring and dedicated to these special people , who devoted his life to family . Everything he did for them was with a genuine passion from his heart. Since the birth of his first grandchild he thrived on the love he gave them and his life’s fuel was renewed from the love he received from them. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed his “sports fix” with Rick and friends on Wednesday’s. Besides sports he thought a lot about you guys , thanks for that!! His other good friends had a special place in his heart too! Wednesday nights , Friday mornings made his life worth living, and for that , we are extremely grateful!! GO BLUE, YEA TIGERS!! A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 17, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 306 East Jefferson, Blissfield, MI 49228. at 11:30 am. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 to 11:30. A luncheon will follow at Eddie Lees on Monroe Street, Toledo, OH.
