Bruce Allen Wendel

Bruce Allen Wendel, born May 15th of 1957 in Detroit, passed away on September 30, 2019 at McLaren Flint hospital at the age of 62. He was a high school graduate and a Tech College Graduate with Certification for Janitorial. He was the son of and was preceded in death by father, Kurt F Wendel, and mother, Lucille Wendel-Lovette. He was also preceded in death by brothers Mark Wendel-survived by wife Cindy, Paul Wendel-survived by wife Bonnie Siblings. He is survived by brothers; Kurt Wendel, wife Sally Wendel, Karl Wendel, wife Karen Wendel, Ward Wendel, wife Delana Wendel, and lifelong Loved Friend, and Business Partner Anthony Williams, as well as many friends  and other family. He was baptized into the Church of Christ, Franklin Road in Pontiac. Bruce Wendel gave selflessly, volunteering with the State of Michigan Dept of Community Health-HIV Advisory Board, Oakland Livingston Health and Human Services of Pontiac as Transportation Aide, their Annual Christmas Program for under privileged Children, and their fundraiser for AIDS walk. Bruce also volunteered with the Senior convalescence home Golden Oaks of Oakland County, and was both a member and volunteer of Wings Positive Social Opportunity Network of Ferndale Michigan, volunteering at Wings Over the Lake in Applegate Michigan, helping with the nonprofit agency. He worked at a radio station in San Francisco. His passions were fishing, hunting, and travel. Final arrangements are being handled by Purse Funeral Home, in Adrian Michigan.  Family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in his memory to Flint McLaren Hospitality House, a Non-Profit, helping providing housing for families with loved ones hospitalized, and which operates on donations. Services will be held at Franklin Road Church of Christ, 1400 Franklin Rd, Pontiac Michigan 48341, Saturday October 12,  2019, with a Family Hour at 10:30 a.m. and a Memorial Service at 11 a.m.
