Bertha Orozco Ramirez

Bertha O. Ramirez, age  90, of Adrian, MI, passed away, January 7, 2019, at home with her family. She was born September 1, 1928, in Alice, TX, the daughter of Feliciano & Jesusita Orozco. On August 19, 1950, she married Nieves E. Ramirez in Adrian, MI. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1999. Bertha & Nieves owned Westside Party Store in Adrian for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to all the casinos and scratch off tickets. She loved spending time with her family and friends, but her greatest passion was her children & grandchildren.  Bertha is survived by her son, Manuel Ramirez, Sr., her daughters, Jesusita (Alex) Ruiz, Rosie (JR) McGraw, Paula (Ernesto) Rivera, Carol (Robert) Burciaga and Anna Garcia, 28 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren and her furbaby, Drake. In addition to her husband Nieves, she was preceded in by her siblings, Reymundo, Trinidad, Jose, Guadalupe and Belia Orozco and Alexandra Alonzo, daughter, Virginia Ramirez and a great granddaughter, Tate Burciaga.  Visitation will be on Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday January 11, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday January 11, 2019, at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
