Bernice E. Bryan

Bernice E. Bryan, age  98, of Adrian, MI passed away, June 26, 2019, at home with her family. She was born September 6, 1920, in Raisin Twp., MI the daughter of J. Andrew & Cora (Benedict) Powell. On August 24, 1939, she married Robert Bryan, he preceded her in death on August 10, 2005.  Bernice was a graduate of Adrian High School. She was a member of Bethany Assembly of God Church in Adrian. She worked at Tecumseh Corrugated Box for several years.  She is survived by two children, Jack (Bonnie) Bryan of Lufkin, TX and Janice (Bryan-Frayer) McMullen of Adrian, MI, ten grandchildren, Todd Bryan, Lisa Bryan Hebl, Dena Willitts, Bonnie Willitts Small, Walter (Dianna) Willitts, Cheryl Frayer-Smith (Frank) Scarlato, Calvin (Laurie) Frayer, Suzette Frayer Mayne, Scott Frayer and Rachel (Ricky) Frayer Hudson, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Joyce Bryan Wilkerson, step mother, Lorena Powell, four sisters, two brothers and one great grandson.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 1, 2019, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Ron Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI.
