Barbara Sue (Wright) Brodie, age 73, of Clinton, passed away peacefully at her home January 7, 2018, after a gallant 7 1/2 year battle with Alzheimer's disease.  Barbara was born May 9, 1944 at Deacons Hospital, Detroit to Marguerite (Hoffman) and Rector Wright .  She was a 1962 graduate from Wayne Memorial High School.  On January 1, 2000 she retired from Ford Motor Company, Ypsilanti after 30 1/2 years of service.  Barb's great passion was her extensive genealogical research of her family which came from North Eastern Arkansas.  She was a proud member of U.D.C., Stars and Bars Chapter 2073 of Detroit.  Her great great grandfather fought in the Civil War, serving in Company "A" 15th Regiment Missouri Calvary.  Her entire collection of research was donated to the Northeast Arkansas archives.  She enjoyed being surrounded by her family at many picnics and reunions on her beautiful property (Walnut Ridge).  She loved riding with her husband on their Harley Davidson.  They traveled to Ireland and Scotland and had many wonderful vacations in Hawaii and Montana.  Barb was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who loved her.  She is survived by her husband, Jack and children, Suzonne (Todd) Keller of Montpelier, OH, Clarence "Butch" Demers of Tecumseh, Jamie Demers of Bryan, OH; sisters, Rebecca (Mick) Foster of Westland, Victoria (Jeff) Rapp of Belgrade, Montana; brother, Larry Wright of Wayne, MI; special cousin, JoAnn Sullivan of Warren, MI and her dear friend of 45 years, Sandy Miller who gave her time, compassion and friendship.  We would also like to thank our wonderful Hospice girls, Katrina and Catherine, no one could have asked for better.  She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Gloria Carol and a step son, Jeremy Brodie.  Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 12, 2018 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor John Turner officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Clinton where she loved to walk.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P. M., also on Friday, preceding the funeral service.  Contributions may be made to Northeast Arkansas Regional Archives, P. O. Box 44, 11 Seventh Street, Powhatan Arkansas 72438.  Condolences to the family may be made online at www,pursefuneralhome.com.
