Arthur E. "Spike" Jackson of Palmyra, died January 11, 2019. He was born April 1, 1923 in Grosse Pointe Park, MI the son of Frederick and Ethyln (Moore) Jackson. On January 11, 1947, he married Vivian May Phillips in Blissfield, MI and she preceded him in death in March 14, 2004. Spike was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army Air Corps. He was the owner and operator of Spike's Auction, Tecumseh. Spike is survived by his children; Inez (Eldon) Clingaman, Nina (Stanley) Beckey, Thomas L. Jackson, and Michael (Dee) Jackson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles A. Jackson and Richard E. Jackson. In addition to his wife Vivian, he was preceded in death by his son, David Byrd, and brother, Fred. H. Jackson. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Final resting place will be at Palmyra Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International or Lenawee Humane Society.
