Alice M. McElroy

Alice M. McElroy, age 69, of Adrian, MI, passed away. October 21, 2017.  She was born May 9, 1948, in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of Donna & James O. Croy. On September 11, 1993, she married Ray McElroy in Raisin Township, he preceded her in death. Alice had worked over 20 years with MSU Extension Lenawee County.    Alice was a member of the Lions Club, Eagles and Moose. She participated with 4-H for over 40 years.    Alice was a member of the Raisin Center Friends Church. She loved to read, cook, garden and play with her grand kids.    She loved all kinds of music and dancing, as well as fishing in God's beautiful outdoors. Alice had a special fondness for working with wood and her many pets. Of her many interest nothing compared with her love for her children and grandchildren. Her sense of good humor spiced the good times and softened the difficult ones.  While Alice was not perfect or without fault, she did her best to be kind and help others without seeking recognition. Alice strove to be generous with her time, her love and to live life to fullest every day.  Alice is survived by her children; James (Heidi) Garland of Tennesse, Matthew Garland of Deerfield, Ruby McElroy of Adrian, MI and Erin McElroy of Ann Arbor, her grandchildren, Heaven, Holly, Jessie, Amber and Ryan, great grandson, Christian, her siblings, James (Eunice) Croy of Florida, Peggy Carter of Ecorse, Nancy (John) Harsh of Adrian and Stephen Croy of Texas and Michael ZuaZua of Adrian, sister in laws; Patricia Croy of Florida and Karon Miller of Livonia.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ray, brother, Charlie Croy, sister in law, Judi Dixon and daughter, Molly McElroy.  Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at J.
